I am a retired high school teacher, coach and administrator. While I have always had an interest in photography, I decided to get serious in 2010 when I purchased my first DSLR, a Canon XSi and kit lenses. I consider photography to be both my hobby and my life long learning activity.
I have remained loyal to the Canon brand shooting their 60D, 7D, 70D, 7D Mk II and 5D cameras along with a host of Canon lenses. When I first started out I photographed anything and everything. Over the years, I have refined my subjects to birds, flowers, and landscapes. I have had a long love affair with the Hennepin Canal and I often use its facilities and beauty as subjects. I shoot more nature than manmade subjects.
Since September, 2023, I have switched from DSLR to mirrorless cameras. I currently make use of a Canon EOS R6 Mk II and a Canon EOS R8. Both are full frame. I have made a concerted effort to cut back on the amount and weight of my camera kit as I want to keep exploring and photographing subjects for many years to come.
I have developed this Web Site, with the help of my Grandson, hoping to provide my friends and family with a better platform from which to view my photos. All photos contained within this Web Site are mine and may NOT be copied or used without my explicit, written permission
